Please submit any catch photos for August ASAP to bga@gameanglers.co.uk======================================================= The Catch of the Month for July goes to Paul Hughes, for this fine 12" wild brown trout caught on the Nant Mawr beat
The Catche's of the month for June go to Sylvia Oliver, with her 2 1/2lb Perch and fine 1 1/2 lb overwinterd trout from Hafod.

The Catch of the month for May 2010, goes to Richard Pierce for his very large eel caught at Lyn Syberi, together with his massive haul of course fish. See photo and his fishing report below.
Sunday 23/5 myself +1 fished 2pm-10pm at furthest peg on roadside. Swim feeder tactics. Approximately 120 fish caught 50% Roach 30% Rudd 20% Perch. Both 1+ and 2+ Perch caught but only 2+ Roach and Rudd. Stopped fishing for small fish at 8pm in attempt to catch Eels. None caught. Friday 28/5 myself +1 fished from 4pm-Midnight at the 'jetty peg'. Waggler tactics. Approximately 80 fish caught 60% Perch 30% Roach 10%Rudd. Caught 1+,2+ and 3+ perch to about 10oz. Only 2+ Roach and Rudd again. Fished for Eels from 8pm onwards and as about to leave at 11pm had first, 2nd about 11:30pm. Largest was 4lb 6oz and probably 40 years old. Both were extremely enjoyable trips with an abundance of fish. It appears that the silver fish had a poor spawning year in 2009, due to this group not being present, but on the whole is an excellent mixed coarse fishery. Will keep you posted how I get on in future.
We are getting reports of good catches of wild brown trout in all our river beats. Tai & Hafod are fishing well since recent stocking and reports of overwinterd brown trout in excess of 3lb have been caught. Lyn Diawaunedd is also fishing well for wild brown trout. Please get your 'Catch Of The Month' reports and photos to bga@gameanglers.co.uk by 1 June 2010.

A couple Of many fine fish caught by Club Chairman, Paul Hughes. Please submit catch details, fishing reports, killer fly's and any other information to This page will be updated at least monthly to reflect what is going on on our waters
