Tai Lake

Tai lake covers an area of about 3 Acres, spring fed it  holds good Rainbow trout of 1lb to about 9lbs, Brown trout have also been stocked during 2004, anglers are asked to return all of these very carefully to the water until further notice. Fir and deciduous trees cover 2 sides of the lake providing shelter but leaving plenty of space for fly fishing. Work  was completed in the early months of 2005 to improve the access for  disabled anglers at the dam end of the lake, by providing parking at the waterside, and resurfacing the dam area, this is a great asset to our members with walking difficulties  A small area will be allocated to worm fishing for members only. Tai lake is a sporting water, additional permit is required to take fish

Llyn Syberi

A picture of peace and solitude, tucked away down a narrow winding lane is Llyn Syberi, just perfect to while away an hour or so, watching and listening to the wild life on Bodnant estate. Work at this moment is being carried out to allow better access, sympathetically done not to destroy the beauty of this very special place. A boat is available for the dedicated fisherman. Anglers are advised not to wade as the lake is extremely deep, it is understood that it is over 27 foot deep in places.

The lake is mixed fishing with specimen course fish being present, including large eels. The lake was stocked last year with Brown and Rainbow trout and more recently with Bream and Tench.

The estate gamekeeper has been appointed bailiff for this new water. The following pictures taken before any work was started.  volunteer's wanted to help on this water, please contact Ken Oliver on 01492 879533.

Day tickets are available from Bodnant Gardens.
