Tai lake covers an area of about 3 Acres, spring fed it holds good Rainbow trout of 1lb to about 9lbs, Brown trout have also been stocked during 2004, anglers are asked to return all of these very carefully to the water until further notice. Fir and deciduous trees cover 2 sides of the lake providing shelter but leaving plenty of space for fly fishing. Work was completed in the early months of 2005 to improve the access for disabled anglers at the dam end of the lake, by providing parking at the waterside, and resurfacing the dam area, this is a great asset to our members with walking difficulties A small area will be allocated to worm fishing for members only. Tai lake is a sporting water, additional permit is required to take fish.

The River Elwy
Roe Parc is an excellent beat with some good deep runs, best river for Sea trout, 3 rods only, 1/2 mile from the A55 road bridge to 2nd stile down river. This are only one of 3 beats on this very interesting river, down stream we have the well known beat of Gypsy lane and one mile at Nant Mawr, all can provide good catches when conditions are favorable.
The River Conwy
River Conwy at Betws-y-Coed is a Small beat of about 150 yards right bank only " see signs" above Waterloo Bridge suitable for 2 rods, well known for its Salmon & Sea Trout. Parking in lay-bye, just a short walk through the trees opposite, Beware of slippy stones if wading.
The River Cledwen
This river is in the upper reaches of the river Elwy and has numerous pools along its gorge like terrain, also has flat runs, very pretty area, popular for the really wild Brown trout enthusiast.
The River Clwyd
Half mile left bank of the River Clwyd at Bodfari, downstream from Lleweni Bridge. This stretch of river has just been opened up after many years of inaccessibility. Car parking on prepared ground by Lleweni Bridge. Good chance of Salmon and Sea trout in favorable conditions. Fishes well for brown trout all season and some of these can be surprisingly large.
A picture of peace and solitude, tucked away down a narrow winding lane is Llyn Syberi, just perfect to while away an hour or so, watching and listening to the wild life on Bodnant estate. Work at this moment is being carried out to allow better access, sympathetically done not to destroy the beauty of this very special place. A boat is available for the dedicated fisherman. Anglers are advised not to wade as the lake is extremely deep, it is understood that it is over 27 foot deep in places.
The lake is mixed fishing with specimen course fish being present, including large eels. The lake was stocked last year with Brown and Rainbow trout and more recently with Bream and Tench.
Llyn Syberi has fished very well last year and will hopefully continue to develop its reputation as a place of natural beauty where a day’s relaxing fishing can be had at a very reasonable price. Following our stocking last year with Bream and Tench, we have now added in February, Crucian Carp and in November, Chub & Barbel to the list of species contained in the lake. The jetty has had a complete makeover and a second jetty has also been completed.
Day tickets at £7.00 per day are available for Lyn Syberi from all the outlets listed below. A Yearly Permit, is also available for Llyn Syberi at only £45.00
Successful baits include sweet corn, lobworms and maggots (available from Joker’s Tackle)
