The Environment Agency Wales has announced that they are going to spend £5.2m on improving the rivers for fishing in North Wales; this could tempt more fishermen to come the area needing somewhere to stay.

Would this not be a great opportunity to be able to offer free fishing for your guests or by a small charge if you so wish?

Bodelwyddan Game Anglers have access to the following waters:

  • 3 beats on the River Elwy, totalling approximately 5 kilometres.
  • 1 1/2 mile beat on the River Clwyd
  • 1 beat on the River Conwy.
  • 1 beat on the River Cledwen, approximately 1 kilometre.
  • Llyn Diwaunedd a 40 acre lake which contains wild brown trout and Arctic Char.
  • Tai Lake, a three acre lake that is regularly stocked with both brown and rainbow trout.

We will provide leaflets and maps etc, plus an A4 poster.

Our year starts on the 1st March; and cost to you would be £80 per year per rod. Any number of rods may be purchased and a one off joining fee of £25 will be required.

In return your guests will have access to all our waters 7 days a week to fish free of charge, according to Environmental Agency rules. Tai lake which is near to Colwyn Bay and Llandudno is a very popular water which remains open all year round. A fisherman’s hut with gas fire for the colder months is also available to all anglers at Tai.

You will also be added to our Website www.gameanglers.co.uk Where to stay in North Wales which is ranked in the top 10 by Google and has proved very popular during year 2006.
